To get the most out of the site, job seekers should sign up. This allows them to enter their details and go back to where they left off at a later time or date. To sign up job seekers will need to:
- Click the jobseekers sign in tab that can be located at the top right hand side of the page
- Fill their details into the provided box and submit
- Verify their email by clicking the link sent to them
- Get started on their job search
How to sign in?
Once signed up it is simple to sign in when visiting in future. Jobseekers need to select the login/register tab at the top of the screen and enter their email and chosen password when the dropdown menu appears.
How do I upload my CV?
Uploading a CV saves the time of having to do so every time a jobseeker wishes to apply for a job. They can also choose whether they wish their CV to be publically displayed to potential employers or hidden until they choose to share it. To upload a CV:
- Choose the upload CV option from the MyDice tab dropdown menu
- Log in if you have not already done so
- Follow the on screen prompts
How do I refine my jobsearch?
By refining your jobsearch you will be able to quickly omit job posts that don’t meet your criteria. You can do so by:
- Entering specific keywords or job titles and postcode or
- Choosing how you wish to refine your search by choosing one of the links just below
Once a selection has been made you can even refine your search to a specific company!
How do I apply for a job post?
Once you find a job that you are interested in applying for you can apply online using the CV and cover letter that you have already uploaded. This is why signing up is so important when you are looking to save time. It also means that should anything go wrong with your computer, you will not lose your information as it will all be stored on the site. Next to all job applications is a little button further down the page on the right hand side. Pressing this will take you to another screen where it will be verified that you are a human and not an automated program. You will then be taken to a screen where you are asked to log in if you have not already done so. From here you should follow the on screen prompts to submit your application.
